The Kirkstyle Inn and Sportsman’s Rest lies in stunning countryside on the borders of Cumbria and Northumberland in the quaint village of Slaggyford. It is believed that originally it was the rectory, and first listed as a public house in the mid 1800’s. Today it is a four bedroomed Gastropub of distinct character and outstanding design.
The Kirkstyle Inn and Sportsman’s Rest, has earned a great reputation for its culinary delights. The menu is game led with seasonality and sustainability at the core. We benefit from an abundance of wonderful local produce, and are fortunate to have our own food processing plant for preparing the game birds and ageing the meat.
All produce and ingredients are sourced within a 50 miles radius. Our field to fork philosophy is reflected in our menu along with some staple pub classics. All of our dishes are made onsite, including our freshly made bread.
Like all great pubs we serve a seriously good pint with an array of beverages showcasing the talents of the surrounding area.
