Fri 30 Aug, Fri 27 Sep, Fri 11 Oct & Fri 1 Nov | 10am - 4pm | Tiptoe Farm, Cornhill-on-Tweed, TD12 4XD
The Pause and Restore Retreat Days are held on the Farm at Tiptoe in tranquil North Northumberland, and they are designed to give you an opportunity to slow down, and, through a combination of activities, support mind, body and spirit.
The day is a gentle break from everyday busyness and stress, and is led by BASI Mat Pilates instructor Lucy Carroll and baker and therapist Pauline Beaumont (author of Bread Therapy – The Mindful Art of Baking Bread).
We welcome individuals to book or small groups with a limit of 6 people, and you will be able to enjoy meeting new people, and learning and developing new skills.
The day is designed to be both practical and positive with an opportunity to reflect on ways we can support our physical and psychological wellbeing.
During the day you will:
Handmake a loaf of bread. Making bread gives us the opportunity to be creative, to practise mindfulness and helps us to slow down and feel grounded.
Participate in a restorative Pilates class where the focus is on slow, controlled movements and stretches. Again, an opportunity to mindfully connect with our bodies.
The retreat day will make the most of the tranquil, rural setting at Tiptoe Farm and the day will include a guided walk in woodland by the River Till where you can try the soothing art of forest bathing and learn some of the powerful life-lessons to be gleaned from connecting with nature.
A home-cooked lunch is provided as are refreshments throughout the day.
Self-catering accommodation is available on the farm if required.
