Located in the Northumberland National Park and the Northumberland Dark Sky Park, Brown Rigg is perfect for a quiet and relaxing break for couples, families, groups, walkers, cyclists and stargazers. The Pennine Way Walking Trail and the Sandstone Way Cycle route pass the entrance to Brown Rigg and National Cycle routes 10 and 68 are just yards away. We offer secure lockable storage for bikes and there is a laundry/drying room on site.
The four, beautifully furnished, self catering lodges are comfortable, spacious and well equipped with an open plan kitchen, dinning area and sitting room. Each lodge has three bedrooms sleeping up to six people, between a mix of double, twin, king and bunk bedrooms and are available on an individual basis, or you can make a whole site booking. All of the sitting rooms and rear bedrooms have fabulous views over open countryside, where our resident sheep and horses graze.
There is plenty of space for children to play and explore. The Master bedroom in Pennine and Hadrian lodges have patio doors that open out onto a games field, which is ideal for playing rounders or football. The tarmac courtyard in front of the lodges is great for children to cycle on their bikes, scooters and roller blades. There is a BBQ area and private parking directly outside the lodges.
The Function and Games Hall is available for use by guests unless it has been booked for a private function (for which a separate charge applies). The Hall can cater for a large number of people and is excellent for celebrations and special events. There is a pool table and a table tennis table.
In addition to the holiday lodges there are 6 individual guest rooms available for booking and in total Brown Rigg can accommodate up to 36 people.

Shops and restaurants are a short walk away in nearby Bellingham. Hadrian's Wall, Kielder Forest Park, Kielder Observatory and Battlesteads Observatory are a short drive away.
