Experience bed and breakfast accommodation in a luxurious barn conversion accommodating three ground floor rooms, all en-suite, one with 4-poster bed and whirlpool bath. Wydon Farm is a 366-acre working farm, on the National Trust Bellister Estate. Traditional breakfast is served in the farm house. Why not collect eggs for your breakfast from our free-range hens?
We are an ideal base for touring Hadrian’s Wall and the English border country. We are within walking distance of Haltwhistle, the ‘centre of Britain’, with local shops and historic buildings.
One of the best salmon rivers in England sits on the banks of the river South Tyne where you can relax and unwind with a spot of fishing.
We have two rods available from February until October on a 6 mile stretch of the South Tyne. The river is very well suited to fly-fishing but you are welcome to spin if you wish or the conditions dictate. Deep wading is rarely required and usually a 13′ or 14′ rod will be adequate to cover the water – in times of low water a single hander can be great fun.
If you prefer to be on the move, there are footpaths and a bridleway which run through the farm yard or get on your bike and take on the Sustrans cycle way. After a day cycling or walking, why not arrange a lift in and out of Haltwhistle for your evening meal.
You can also arrange for your dog to stay, just telephone us to arrange this prior to arrival. We have secure lock up for bikes.
