Friday 18 April 2025 | 9.30am - 4pm | Harthope Valley, Wooler
Summit Northumberland's highest peak and return via the beautiful Harthope valley stopping off at the fabulous Harthope Linn waterfall for a cooling wild swim if you wish.
Learn about the WW2 plane crash on the summit of Cheviot, the daring rescue that took place in a storm and about a medal winning Border Collie called Sheila.
This is a long route of about 8.5 miles, with a steady climb up Cheviot but with the reward of the fabulous Harthope valley on the way down.
This adventure includes a posh picnic for all participants. I would organise dietary requirements/ allergies in advance by email. All diets catered for.
It will take 5/6 hours, so ideal for little explorers with hiking experience.
This experience will operate with a minimum of 6 guests and a maximum of 12
The meeting place would be at the head of the Harthope Valley, Wooler at 09.30
