Kellah Farm cottages provide 2 self-catering cottages on a busy working hill farm. Kellah has been a small hamlet since 1402 and has been farmed by our family for over 150 years.
Kellah is 4 miles from the " Centre of Britain" market town of Haltwhistle.

Both cottages are former miners cottages and we have recently installed a Bio-Mass boiler that provides heating and plenty of hot water for baths and showers. Both cottages have walled gardens.

Staying with us is an ideal base for exploring Hadrian's Wall country and the north and south Tyne Valleys.

The south Tyne trail which follows the partially used railway line passes over Lambley viaduct and is one of many interesting walks which can be taken from Kellah.

Red squirrels are frequent visitors to an oak wood on the farm and children can have hands-on experience of farming life by helping to feed animals and observe the day to day activities on a busy hill farm. Parents can join in to if they wish.

Quiet, comfortable, well furnished with very helpful proprietors

Fadinggrace, Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Kellah Farm is very well set up for a relaxed stay and is ideal for walkers. There is an excellent drying room and for a small charge guests can use laundry facilities. We were offered an evening meal with a few hours notice - much appreciated. Bedrooms are very attractive and comfortable, and bathrooms spotless. There is a sizeable sitting room for guests use. Breakfast was substantial, tasty and with a wide choice of dishes. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Great stop along the Pennine Way

We stayed at Kellah Farm while walking the Pennine Way. It was wonderful, with everything a tired walker could want - a warm welcome, very comfortable rooms, wifi and great breakfasts. The location is great, just off the PW. The buildings and surrounds are lovely.

A Sanctuary....

James S,
We had to see Hadrian's wall during a long road trip across the UK. This place came up as good stop. I couldn't have been happier. The family running the place is kind, helpful, and so very thoughtful. The rooms have everything you need, including very comfy beds. The breakfast was beyond reproach, and I truly challenge anyone to find anything to complain about in this lovely B&B. It is quite, calming, restful, and a sanctuary in a stressful world. Give it a shot if you are anywhere in the area.

Hadrians Walk hike for British Heart Foundation

TillyTraveler22, Chesterfield, United Kingdom
My friend and I were raising money for BHF, and were signed up to walk Hadrians Wall. We arrived at Kellah Farm to a warm reception and wonderful room. The owner/landlady gave us loads of information, such as where to eat that evening, which roads to take. As we were setting of early in the morning, we would not make breakfast, however the owner made us a pack up of eggs, sandwiches, fruit and cookies to take with us, which was fantastic. A beautiful, tucked away working farm, that is cosy and welcoming. Perfect place to explore the area.

Quiet retreat on working farm

I chose this B&B on the basis it was handy for Hadrian's Wall and forts, and was very pleasantly surprised. Its a working farm, a couple of miles away from the historic small town of Haltwhistle. Despite being in the thick of the lambing season the owner was very welcoming, and showed me to a clean spacious and well-equiped room. Breakfast in the morning was excellent, with plenty of choice and fresh produce.
