AVOID !!!!!!

Barrie T, York, United Kingdom
We stayed a few weeks ago, whilst still there we had issues and, notified staff. The "Management " are ignoring us so the issue is unresolved, and the promised refund not forthcoming. After leaving numerous messages on the phone, speaking to members of staff, leaving messages with staff and emailing the Management they do not care at all as they think they won't see us again so why bother. They are all most unprofessional and if they had resolved the issue we wouldn't have felt the need to write this review.

The Best Place to Stay for the Holy Island

PhilViking, Chapel Hill, North Carolina
The Inn has as well deserved reputation for the best place around. The rooms are larger than expected, and comfortable. The beds are comfortable, and the staff quickly responded to our needs for more towels. Great service. The room was very clean. It is quiet -- we did not hear noises from other rooms nor from the roadway.

Sunday dinner visit

TimV4,
As the inn was extremely busy, I wasn't sure if I could get a table however the staff team were accommodating. The service was quick however I got the feeling that it was to ensure that I ate and left quickly which did not make the meal very relaxing. I had a beef Sunday dinner. The Yorkshire pudding was the best part of the meal, the rest was mediocre, the meat was rubbery in texture. Overall an average meal which was a shame as the venue and staff were nice.

Excellent Staff

salandmick, Stafford, United Kingdom
Stayed here for 4 nights whilst researching the area for a walking holiday. Good location, nice spacious room, no issues with road noise despite being on the main A1, although it might have been noisier had the weather been warmer and we had the window open?. Breakfast was excellent, with good choice and quality products, and evening meals were also well presented and tasty. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating were just a couple of very small niggles, namely that the TV in the room is very small for the room size, the hot water tap only worked properly intermittently (although maintenance did try and rectify this as soon as we mentioned it, albeit to no avail) and there were only 2 real ales on, one of which went off on day 2 and wasn't replaced whilst we were there. Very small niggles and didn't really detract from the enjoyment of our stay. However the big plus here is the staff, All, without exception, very helpful and friendly, up for a bit of banter and a laugh. Special mention to Janet, very efficient, and to Brian, an interesting and informative chap, and a great laugh as well. Thanks for the tip about the best beach in the world...we shall tell no-one! We through enjoyed our "dander aboot" in the area, and will return

The Lindisfarne Inn replied: Ah, thank you for leaving this great review! Pleased to hear you enjoyed your experience with us and we do hope to see you in the near future!

Poor customer service

Lisa M, Nairn, Scotland, United Kingdom
We visited for dinner as a party of four adults, one toddler and a dog. Firstly our meals arrived in two separate phases despite the orders being placed together. We complained at the time and the food arrived. There was then some confusion over whether my son was entitled to a free dessert. We asked to speak to the manager at the end of the meal. He told us it was our fault that the meals arrived separately, the issue with the children's meal was our mistake and concluded by shrugging his shoulders. Needless to say we won't be back
