Grandeur

the2br0wns, Perth, Australia
When we arrived in Bamburgh, for an overnight stay, we were recommended to try availability at Budle Hall. Ralph was very accommodating on the phone but he left out the bit about 'mansion'!! We loved it!! It was grand but so welcoming. A cup of tea & shortbread on our arrival, also made us feel very welcome. Our room was gorgeous and comfy and the decorative pieces and displays throughout the 'mansion' made for a bit of history and makes the surrounds feel 'lived in' rather than the usual 'comfy but stark' hotel accommodation, one normally gets. Brekkie at the long dining table was a 'regal moment' and thoroughly enjoyed. A very gracious thank you to both Ralph and Celia and we hope to return, when we are back in the UK :)

Excellent venue and superbly looked after

Lovely 2 night stay in Blue room, replete with roll top bath. Sumptuous breakfast, lovely sitting room with wood burning stove. Liz looked after us very well and was very knowledgable about walks and local eateries. We have a 2 year old and nothing was too much trouble. Thoroughly recommend it for a stay in Bamburgh area.

Warm Welcome, Stunning Location

Katy H, Stockport, England, United Kingdom
Lovely warm welcome with tea and cake. Magnificent yet relaxing and comfortable rooms. Hosts share their lovely home and are attentive without being intrusive. The sitting room has a log fire and a selection of drinks with an honesty box if you fancy a tipple in the evening. Breakfasts are delicious and I can highly recommend the local Seahouse kippers. The walk along the beach to Banburgh is beautiful and nearby Linisfarne a must. A wonderful stay.

Superb,cannot fault!

Julie H, Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom
Stayed for the weekend and were treated like royalty. There were 5 of us and nothing was too much trouble. We were very honoured to have been accepted into their very grand home in a very non judgemental manner. A very relaxing weekend in a beautiful part of the country. Next year's booking already made!

Welcoming hosts and great breakfast

Rachel D, Norwich, United Kingdom
My husband and I stayed at budle hall for four nights in June. When we arrived we were offered tea and homemade cake which was lovely. The host, Ralph, told us a bit about the house and the area. We were informed that we needed to preorder cooked breakfast the day before, there was a lovely choice, toast and cereal was available as well. Breakfast was very sociable as all the guests shared a table. The house was lovely, it is the family's home and they do have a dog, which was very well behaved. We stayed in the room without the ensuite but we did have a private bathroom across the hall. The room was very well equipped with ample furniture, tea and coffee facilities, biscuits, a television and lots of books. The bed was very comfortable. There was a nice view of the garden. There was also a complimentary bar in the drawing room. It was a short walk to the beach and Bamburgh castle. There were also a few nice places to eat a short drive away. I'd say it was a good location for exploring the area as it was very quiet and rural feeling but also not too far from the main road. We would definitely stay here again.
