Beautiful setting on the coast

Matt S,
We stayed for two nights and were made very welcome. The rooms were very comfortable with nice linen and beds. Breakfast was delicious and we were recommended good places to eat. Some of the decoration is a little tired but it is a family home run as a B&B not a boutique hotel. The building and setting is magnificent and the rooms are full of evidence of interesting lives well lived. I would gladly stay again on my next visit to Northumberland

Beautiful, Spacious Bedroom

Budle Hall is located a mile or two north of Bramburgh. It’s a very big house with even bigger bedrooms. Booking late, we could “only” get the Green Room, which however more than exceeded our expectations for space and décor. The bed was probably the most comfortable one we had on our trip to six B&Bs in the area. You could practically host a party in the bathroom, it’s that large. We were treated to tea and the best homemade shortbread in the sitting room, where there is also a small honesty bar. Breakfast, especially the porridge, was delicious and taken in the large, formal dining room with other guests. There is a garden on the premises. The directions you receive on how to identify the property mention a tree with reflective strips; be aware that they are somewhat faded and easy to miss with tired-from-driving eyes.

We had a very warm welcome when we arrived and were offered tea and cakes with the other guests staying at Budle Hall. Our hosts were fantastic with many tips on restaurants and places of interests. We stayed in the yellow room which had a gorgeous view of the gardem

Nice seaside visit

Great place to visit near Bamborough. Near to Seahouses. Can walk or ride along the beach near to the house. Lovely friendly breakfast when everyone sits together. Very large rooms where you can spread out. Plenty of parking in front drive.

Fantastic all round - the place to stay

van_jan_123, London, United Kingdom
Three friends and I stayed at Budle Hall last month. As soon as I arrived I knew we should have stayed for longer! We arrived by bus from Berwick, in rainy weather, and were dropped off at the wrong place. I called Ralph the owner for directions and he kindly came to collect us. After tea and cake on arrival in the clam surroundings any existing stresses disappeared. That was before we saw the gorgeous house properly and our lovely rooms. Ralph and Celia could not have been more helpful, from accommodating us at short notice to all the helpful tips of how to spend our time in beautiful Bamburgh and the Northumberland coast - we went to Holy Island, Bamburgh and Alnwick Castle, lots we could not do in the time we had. Nothing was a problem. Breakfast deserves a special mention, with a choice of delicious hot options, fresh juice and croissants. Another little touch that sets Budle Hall apart is the honesty bar for drinks. The gardens are also lovely, with stunning views to the beach. All our fellow guests seemed as happy as we were with our choice of accommodation. I would love to stay at Budle Hall again.
