The Old Gaol and the historic Moothall offer two unusual and unique venues to hold a wedding ceremony.
Although the medieval buildings look imposing from the outside internally the spaces combine the original grandeur with intimacy making them a perfect location to exchange your marriage vows. Both offer wonderful photo opportunities with stunning architecture both inside and out.
The Moothall can accommodate up to 60 guests for a marriage ceremony in the magnificent top floor Lockhart Room, once the Bailiff’s Hall, with the first floor Courtroom available before and after the ceremony for your guests to gather in comfort.
The stone steps which provide access to the Moothall make a perfect setting for wedding photographs. Access to the upper floors for the ceremony is via a further internal flight of stairs.
Up to 30 guests can be accommodated for a wedding ceremony at the Old Gaol. This building is fully accessible with external ramps and an internal lift.
To arrange to visit either venue or to discuss the possibilities, call 01670 624524 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
The Moothall is unfortunately not accessible due to the nature of the historic building.
Hexham Old Gaol is fully accessible with a glass walled lift carrying visitors between the floors.
Hexham Moothall is just off the Market Place in the centre of Hexham with the Old Gaol, just behind.
