Cottages with the "WOW" factor!!

ron.irim, Lincoln
My husband and I, along with our son and partner, have had yet another great stay at Robert's cottages. This was our second visit to the Garden House but can recommend every one of the cottages. Robert's attention to detail shines through in décor and cleanliness and the cottages are supplied with everything and more you find in your own home. All the cottages have stunning views but the Garden House, on both levels, has all round panoramic views of the surrounding area. You could sit in the window and while away the hours just watching the llamas or sheep grazing in the fields - the llamas are always looking for treats - or admiring the views across the Tweed Valley. If self catering is not your style, then try his amazing bed and breakfast accommodation in the Manor House where you will get personal service and great hospitality. The amazing cake and scones which greet you on arrival and the open fires mean you have arrived at a very special place. If your visit is for a special occasion, then mention it to Robert before arrival and he can arrange for a celebration cake to be made - his wedding and speciality cakes are renowned in the area (see his facebook page for photos). I cannot recommend his properties highly enough and look forward to another stay very soon.

A relaxing week.

howard k, Leeds, United Kingdom
We had a very relaxing week at west Longridge cottage. Stayed in the Garden house which is pure luxury. The host and owner Robert is there if needed but does not intrude at all. Great views and that away from it all feeling but less than 5 minutes from the town. We have stayed there every year for the last 5 years and will continue to stay. If you like your peace and quiet this is the place to go.

Another Fantastic Holiday

Kate W, Keighley, United Kingdom
We came back to the Garden House again :) Absolutely beautiful surroundings and so peaceful. Robert is the best host ever and nothing is too much trouble. The house is scrupulously clean and maintained to the highest standards. Food apart, everything is supplied and what better way to spend a winter's evening than relaxing in front of a roaring log fire....... bliss! There is plenty to see and do, we would recommend The Lavender Garden tearoom at Etal and also the Pilgrim Café on the Holy Island both for lovely food and delicious coffee. Ebb Carrs café at St Abbs is a must visit for the most lovely fresh crab sandwiches followed by stunning views on the coastal walk. Alnwick Castle and Gardens and Bamburgh Castle are both worth visiting as is Barter Books in Alnwick (used as the book shop, Flourish & Botts in the Harry Potter movies as is Alnwick Castle). Edinburgh is an easy trip from Berwick on Tweed on the train which follows the coast most of the way.

Fantastic cottage and wonderful host

Mark B,
We have just returned from yet another wonderful break in one of Robert's lovely cottages. Everything was perfect - afternoon tea and roaring fire were as always a very welcoming sight. The cottage was fantastically equipped, everything that we needed was there and on hand. In fact, the cottage was so comfortable and cosy that on a couple of days, we spent relaxing days in front of the fire! When we did go out, there was plenty to do and see - long walks on the beach, cliffs and river. Berwick, Holy Island, Alnwick and within easy reach and Edinburgh is also possible for the day. We will be back, these cottages, and Roberts hospitality make is simply a perfect break!

Excellent Cottage in a Great Location

keithandjackie, Chester, United Kingdom
We had a very pleasant 4 day stay in Bluebell cottage. Very warm and friendly location and the owner Robert made us feel very welcome and was always available to answer questions about places to visit and where to eat. Cottage was very clean and warm and the views of the surrounding countryside where excellent Our 8 year old boy really enjoyed the location and being next to the farm and seeing all the animals wasa very nice experience.
