Snuggled in a tranquil and picturesque setting, Stable Cottage near Bardon Mill is a delightful stone-built barn conversion which has been totally renovated to provide extremely comfortable two-bedroom holiday accommodation.
Located in the adjacent paddock, The Hideaway Huts are three Grande Roulottes providing exclusive accommodation for two guests each, with stunning views across the South Tyne Valley by day and the glorious back-cloth of Northumberland’s Dark Skies by night.
Stable Cottage is in a quiet rural location between Vindolanda Roman Fort and the village of Bardon Mill, providing the prefect base for exploring Hadrian’s Wall and beyond. The single storey accommodation is immaculately presented. A wood-burning stove ensures a warm welcome awaits guests whatever the season.
One bedroom is a spacious double, and the second can be configured as either a double or a twin room, having zip’n’link beds. Children are very welcome here and a toddler bed or cot is available. A large comfortable living room has space for all the family and the kitchen is well-equipped for all your self-catering needs.
“A special place in a very special place” as a guest described one of our Hideaway Huts; The Bothy, The Shieling and The Wainscot, are quirky and romantic but practical and peaceful… luxury escapes in the heart of Northumberland designed just for two! Each has zip’n’link king-size bed so can be twins when needed, a proper bathroom and well-equipped kitchenette and sitting area.
All four properties have smart TV and high-speed broadband.
The shared utility building provides locker storage for out-door gear and secure place for bikes; drying facilities; EV charge-point and even a solar and wind-powered charging point for electric bicycles!
