Kellah Farm cottages provide 2 self-catering cottages on a busy working hill farm. Kellah has been a small hamlet since 1402 and has been farmed by our family for over 150 years.
Kellah is 4 miles from the " Centre of Britain" market town of Haltwhistle.

Both cottages are former miners cottages and we have recently installed a Bio-Mass boiler that provides heating and plenty of hot water for baths and showers. Both cottages have walled gardens.

Staying with us is an ideal base for exploring Hadrian's Wall country and the north and south Tyne Valleys.

The south Tyne trail which follows the partially used railway line passes over Lambley viaduct and is one of many interesting walks which can be taken from Kellah.

Red squirrels are frequent visitors to an oak wood on the farm and children can have hands-on experience of farming life by helping to feed animals and observe the day to day activities on a busy hill farm. Parents can join in to if they wish.

Superb all round!

Stopped here as a base for doing the Roman trail! It proved to be perfect-excellent location provided you are in a car and absolutely a top notch bed and breakfast 😎 Welcome was friendly and there was plenty of information about local places to eat out! The room was really lovely;clean and bright and very comfortable. Ensuite likewise and the little extras like hand cream and face wipes were very welcome! The breakfast was just right and it was nice to be served by someone willing to chat about the area. This puts a lot of hotels to shame and I would definitely book again if in the area.

Friendly, clean, perfect quiet location on a working farm

Two couples, one couple Aussie, one couple Brits stayed for 3 nights and were very impressed. Lesley and Katie have made a superb B&B - welcoming, relaxing, clean roomy bedrooms, nice lounge with TV and DVDs and books, and fresh yummy breakfasts cooked to order, fresh fruit selection as well as cereals, yoghurt and the cooked brekkie with eggs from the farm's free range hens. Fresh milk and a little fridge in the bedroom so tea and coffee was tasty. Good local info and flexible, we brought our own dinner in on one night no problem. A real working farm set in a dark sky area. Ideal for Hadrian's wall, the Pennines and local small towns.

Very Comfortable

We only stayed one night and we were not in there long but it was very comfortable, nice little fridge to put some milk in! Bed was king size and comfy, bathroom was spotlessly clean all in all a nice stay! The breakfast was spot on, none greasy not over loaded just what we needed

What a find!!

Celebrated our anniversary with a night away at kellah farm b&b. What a find. In the middle of nowhere but still close enough to drive to nearby towns/villages. Set on a working farm so expect to hear the odd tractor & mooing cows but that's what's being in the countryside is all about. The owner was very welcoming & showed us to our room which had plenty of room for us considering it had both a double & single bed. Very comfy beds & clean linen. Flat screen tv, kettle, coffee, a bottle of water etc & some yummy biscuits. If you don't like the uht milk, your welcome to have fresh milk from the fridge in the breakfast room. Bathroom had a shower cubicle with plenty of hot water. The view from the main bedroom window overlooked where you park your cars & countryside with grazing sheep. Was given a choice of time for breakfast. Great choice - full english, toast, preserves, cereal, fresh fruit salad, yogurt, juices, coffee etc. A fantastic stay, & reasonably priced, just wished we could have stayed longer. Definitely will next time!!

Quiet, comfortable, well furnished with very helpful proprietors

Kellah Farm is very well set up for a relaxed stay and is ideal for walkers. There is an excellent drying room and for a small charge guests can use laundry facilities. We were offered an evening meal with a few hours notice - much appreciated. Bedrooms are very attractive and comfortable, and bathrooms spotless. There is a sizeable sitting room for guests use. Breakfast was substantial, tasty and with a wide choice of dishes. Would not hesitate to stay again.
