Our b&b recommended this place to us and can happily say food definitely surpassed expectations. The menu has a wide range, perfect for us as we all tend to like completely different things. Had a curry personally and would definitely have it again, was just a shame we had no space for pudding!

We stayed just one night as we travelled up to Northumberland. The room(No1) was excellent and the food was really good too. The staff were very helpful and we would recommend it to others and would also return again ourselves.

The pub is very tastefully presented and Lunch was delicious and really good value. Sandwiches were beautifully presented and the portion of chips was really tasty. The only downside was that the staff were a bit officious, telling me to stay where I was at the bar and I could take the tea, cups and milk back to the table. It seems as though if you want your tea delivered to the table you'd need to sit in the restaurant- so, a bit weird. A lady on the next table was chuntering about this too and said she wouldn't be returning. However, despite this little anomaly, I will definitely be returning to this lovely pub in the near future.

Stayed here for 3 nights as a couple with a dog. Based in a nice location close to a river and picturesque bridge not far from Hadrians wall. Good hotel / pub and would stay here again without hesitation Would you like to know more ? The Good Great little pub in Warden just outside of Hexham, nice owners who made you feel very welcome. The pub is ideally situated for visiting this part of the country, easy access to Hadrians Wall and Hexham by car. Plenty of parking and not difficult to find. The pub serves a range of food all very nice, we had two meals here over 3 nights, particularly good Haddock and chips also a good breakfast with selection of full English and other combinations, fruit, cereal etc. It is busy and booking for evening meals would be advised, it seems well supported by locals. Serves a selection of drinks including a couple of real ales, all at standard prices. We had the benefit of very hot weather for our stay, the pub seems to cater for customers in all weathers and has boot covers for walkers readily available. It is dog friendly, plenty of water bowls available for dogs to use around the pub and the owners clearly like dogs. No issue with dogs in the rooms all made to feel very welcome. The rooms are set just away from the main building, they seem to do some B&B and some self catering. We were in the B&B. The rooms were very clean and well made up every day. The owners replaced all used items, soap etc daily unlike some hotels and the decor was modern and well maintained. Very large super king sized double bed in a good sized room. Great shower. Plenty of outside seating with picnic tables etc available. Also a nice walk by the river where you could follow the footpath down to waters meet about half a mile, ideal for the dog. Wi fi available in the pub and rooms, although a bit slow. A good place to stay. The Bad Couldn't find anything bad about this hotel. The Ugly If you looked on Google earth I suspect you would see a railway line running to the back of the accommodation rooms in close proximity. There are occasional trains but infrequent and mostly two carriage commuter style light trains. I think there was 1 heavy train in the 3 days we stayed. We didn't really notice any effect of the train line and it should not concern anyone looking to stay here, a small point worth a mention don't let it stop you choosing this great little B&B.
