Love it Love it Love it

trolleydolly2017, Manchester, United Kingdom
We stayed in a lovely shepherds hut Bluegrass.Well we were really looking forward to it for weeks and we was not disappointed. They had thought of everything all utensils, pot pans, tin foil even salt and pepper .All plates, cups etc were all top quality cake and a bottle of wine was a great welcome treat as well as was the chocs yum. The bed was so comfy with a lovely view. It was so relaxing and really peaceful perfect evenings on the porch bat watching. We did not get round to using the spa and pool but have already book 3 nights in November to watch the stars and definitely use the facilities when cold outside.

Beacon Hill replied: Thank you so much for your lovely review - and I see that you habe booked again for November- great! Bluegrass has proved to really popular. It has a stunning view down to the Northumberland Coast. We look forward to welcoming you back. Alun.

Another lovely visit to Beacon Hill!

Alison F,
This was our second visit to Beaconhill as it was our first stop of our annual summer holiday. We stayed in Willow cottage as we wanted our accommodation on one level as my mum recently had a hip operation. Wow! Beautiful cottage as was Stable Cottage as this was the one my parents stayed in. We have three young children who have still not stopped going on about how great the swimming pool is as well as the games room and play barn and even though they are only 8 and 5 they loved the freedom of Beacon Hill and not having mum and dad or nana or papa having to watch their every move! There has been mentions in previous reviews about the lack of utensils. My husband used to be a chef and actually commented about the amount of kitchen equipment there was and that there was nothing else we could have had as Alun and Chris have thought of everything! The only thing I would say was that the jets didn't work in the Jacuzzi the whole week of our stay and did mention that to Chris but wasn't remedied before we left but I know these things can sometimes take time to fix. The weather wasn't the greatest but this is obviously something that cant be controlled but if the weather isn't great then you do have to venture out for something to do as after a few days the facilities sometimes don't always keep the kids occupied. My mum and I had massage and facial and I also squeezed in some extra treatments at the last minute. This was fantastic and all the ladies who work there are lovely! I would highly recommend Beacon Hill as it is a lovely location with beautiful cottages with very accommodating owners.

Beacon Hill replied: I am so glad that you enjoyed your week. I am sorry that the jacuzzi jets were broken. We ordered a new pump and it didn't arrive until the Monday after you left. The previous pump lasted 12 years! It is great that the children had the freedom to run around the grounds on their own. We look forward to welcoming you back again.

Solitary bliss

LW54, Sheffield
Having stayed at Beaconhill five years ago I am on the mailing list for last minute cancellations. My husband was away on business for two weeks and lo and behold a cancellation popped up for Bluegrass Hideaway. I decided to book it and drove up for two nights of total R and R. It was lovely to have to answer to no one and to just do exactly what I liked, which involved a lot of sitting around watching the view from the windows of the hut, even catching a rainbow! The hut is really a labour of love and I could see how proud Christopher was as he showed me around. Everything has been thought of. Bed is really comfortable and lying there with the great views made it difficult to get up! I might make this an regular mini me break! You feel as if you are miles from anywhere, but the spa is about 2 mins walk away and Morpeth and the coast are within easy reach by car.

Beacon Hill replied: The Hideaways are built to give one or two guests a haven in a wonderful location so I am so pleased it worked for you. Come back for more relaxation! Thanks so much for your lovely review. Alun

Home from Home

joyous_travellers, Oxfordshire, UK
This was our first visit here on a recommendation from family. We were so happy here. We stayed in Larch which was such a lovely comfortable cottage really cosy to come back to after a long day out walking etc. Everything had been thought of in the cottage, heating if required & plenty of hot water. Great wifi. The spa & pool looked fab & I am hoping to use again when we come back in the winter. We didn't get a chance to explore the local farm area too much as we were out & about a lot. There is such lot to do in Northumberland with outstanding National Trust places. Morpeth is also a very nice town with a good range of shops. I can see that families would have a wonderful time here. We have just booked to return.

Beacon Hill replied: I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to welcoming you back.

Perfect Accommodation and Facilities

Sarah M,
Been coming here for many years although it's been a few since our last visit. Still such a brilliant place. So peaceful, high quality cottages, and there is so much to keep the kids entertained. Loving the addition of the goats, so friendly!! Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Beacon Hill replied: Sarah thank you so much for your lovely review. I am so pleased you liked my sons goats. He actually gave them to his girlfriend as a present! The last of the great romantics...most girls would prefer diamonds!! Come again soon. Alun & Christopher.
