Peace, Perfect, Peace.

sharonjulia, Middlesbrough, United Kingdom
We have just got back from the best, most relaxing weekend........ever! I'd like to keep this place a secret so I can go back whenever I want.....but I just can't stop myself from shouting about it. It's an AMAZING find! We stayed in one of the Shepherd's huts. WOW, WOW, WOW! From the moment we arrived and where met by the owner and his golf buggy, and where taken to our accommodation I knew we where in for something special. The hut was immaculate. It's the little touches that make it. Tea and Coffee, biscuits, wine, candles and flowers . I'll not tell you everything as it will spoil the surprise. The owners have thought of everything to make the grounds a family friendly place. The spa area is wonderful, I know I felt spoilt. I can't wait to go back. I was jealous of those who where there for longer than us. My biggest tip would be to make sure you take enough food, especially if your only there for the weekend. We went to the pub for a meal on Saturday. This was a mistake, as we couldn't wait to get back! It's that good!

I would like to say you won't like it................but I know you will

MrsGee76, Sheffield, United Kingdom
I would like to say you won't like it....but I know you will. Beaconhill is a very beautiful place. The cottages are excellent, they have everything you will need, and more. Set in a lovely estate, with a pool, spa, gym, games room, and an indoor adventure play area for the kids, football, cricket and tennis are catered for outside as well as a further play area for children. It also has its own observatory! We found it nice to have people around but at times to feel you were the only ones there. We had our grandchildren visit us there and they loved it. We spent an evening in the Beechwood, collecting wood, building a campfire and cooking sausages, burgers, toasting marshmallows etc whilst the children played in the teepee, swinging on the tyres and just freely running around. We visited during May and it was warm and sunny 6days out of 7. Everywhere you went the gorse was blooming and looked so lovely. The beautiful Northumbrian coast is only a few miles away. Those of us who know this coastline would like to keep it a secret, but I guess we can't. We really would like to keep this place for ourselves and tell you not to come, you won't like it..........but if you like beautiful properties, good facilities, a fantastic landscape, and a coastline with some of the best beaches in the country, together with hosts who are friendly, helpful, and obviously very good at what they do, then we know you will love the magic that is Beaconhill.

Relax and unwind in a luxurious Shepherds Hut in fantastic surroundings

Michelle S,
Another fantastic break at Beacon Hill. the new hideaways are perfectly designed and luxuriously kitted out. I have stayed at Beacon Hill 5 times and have never had a single thing to complain or criticise. The Spa areas continue to be well maintained as do the gardens, play areas, pathways, etc. I simply LOVE this place. I have already booked to return!

Fantastic hideaway in shepherd's hut

Mary F, Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom
We have just been very fortunate to have spent the most relaxing short break ever. Our stay here was my birthday present from my family, and it lived up to our dreams. We'd studied the web site and had seen how positive the comments were - but they don't do it justice. The Blue Grass shepherd's hut is a work of high craftsmanship, where care and thoughtfulness have gone into every detail. Its situation gives amazing views (even on misty mornings), and sitting at a window, or on the verandah listening to the birds and gazing at the beautiful Northumbrian countryside is such a tonic. The walks nearby are so relaxing, although we did also go a bit further afield to look for hill forts in Ingram Valley (not hard to find them - Northumberland is full of them, and they're worth the climb). Facilities at Beacon Hill are superb - don't need to list then as they are on the web site, and they are available to all who stay there. Alun made us feel most welcome, and gave us a fascinating guided tour - then repeated the performance for some of our family who came to see what a she[herd's hut looked like. If you need a stress free break that feels as far from the madding crowds of Tyneside as possible (but actually isn't) I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. I loved the choice of books on the bookshelves, the views from the bedroom, the roses in the living room, and the wine on the wine rack. No detail overlooked to ensure a very relaxing stay. You must try it.

Great place to holiday

Russ B, York, United Kingdom
Stayed in Kestral cottage April 2017. The cottage was exceptionally well appointed with everything you could wish for, super clean and the views were fantastic. Bedrooms very comfortable clean and again good views of Northumberland. The gym, spa, pool etc were a great addition to enhance a wonderful holiday experience. We will definitely be repeating this visit.
