Self catering cottages

candm6, Westhill, United Kingdom
We spent a week here with the family in April 2017 and it was wonderful. The cottages were well appointed, comfortable and clean. The outside spaces are well kept and the children whose ages ranged from 1 to 6 and adults had plenty to do, using the swimming pool, walking in the woods, playing in the tepee and having a sausage sizzle by the camp fire. There is a play area and football pitch as well. The adults enjoyed the spa treatments. We hope to return in the future. Asda tesco and sainsbury all deliver to the site.

Family Holiday

AJH888,
A wonderful, relaxing week. Excellent quality accommodation. Well maintained. Staff always willing to help. Superb facilities in the property (i.e. Well equipped kitchen, living room with SkyTV, wifi throughout, Bluetooth soundbar/radio in bedroom). Lots to do onsite for all (games room, adventure play room, tennis court, observatory, pool, gym, spa). We particularly enjoyed the Harry Potter trail in the woodland and lighting our camp fire to cook lunch! So many places to visit in Northumberland; you could go back again and again.

Fantastic place to stay!

Paul C, aberdeen
We'd visited Beaconhill in July 2013 and always said we'd be back. We'd stayed in Oak Cottage last time - this time we booked Elm Cottage next door. We arrived, unpacked and headed for a swim. Great to see nothing has changed - everything is still as good as it was! Beaconhill has everything you need - the pool is open 0700-2100 & is warm enough for an 8 month old to play & swim happily. The playbarn & gamesroom next door kept our 4 year old happy after a swim..... once he'd played on the toy tractors in the field and played on the climbing frame! The games room introduced him to air hockey and table football and the playbarn let him play as wild as he wished!! We had great days out to Holy Island, Woodhorn Colliery & railway and a trip to find Hadrian's Wall - but you could just park up the car for the week and enjoy Beaconhill's facilities and local walks.....not forgetting the fabulous forest for a sausage sizzle after collecting enough sticks for the fire!! Another fabulous visit to Beaconhill - we'll definitely be back for another holiday!!

Birthday Weekend

Amy F, Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom
I could not have asked for a more relaxing, beautiful and private place to take my partner on his birthday!!! We stayed in the bluegrass Hideaway it was so cute and beautifully decorated with all the amenities you could ask for! (it was unbelievably clean). It was set back a little from the rest on the cottages but not too far. On the Friday night we had a bbq with the fire pit provided and had all of the kindling, wood that firelighters that we needed, and the beautiful sunset made it just magical! The spa which was a short 2-3 minute walk away was very well equipt with many clean hot showers, sauna steam room off the pool with heated beds that we snoozed in for a while before going into the surprisingly deep pool, finishing off with a dip in the Jacuzzi with again amazing views from its private room. There is so much to do in Northumberland so we weren't short on choices and the owners also put it a very helpful folder with a list of everything you could possibly need. We were met by Chris (the owners son I believe) he was very pleasant and helpful and we will definatly be returning hopefully when a few more hideaways have been built to go up with a party of people!! Thankyou very much we had a wonderful stay!!!!!

Wonderful Amenities- Delightful Surroundings! Northumberland at its Best !

Senior1114, Durham, United Kingdom
We have just returned from a truly wonderful stay at Beacon Hill and all it offers - Northumberland truly at its best if you want a high spec cottage, set in beautiful, peaceful and scenic countryside with great amenities- swimming pool, sauna, steam room ( one of the best we've encountered) and the lovely laconium room for additional and incredible therapeutic relaxation ! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - from a warm welcome by host Chris on arrival to being shown around by Alun ensuring we were aware of of the full potential of Beacon Hill and surroundings . Some additional considerate touches - flowers on arrival and bottle of wine. We enjoyed the most relaxing time and we will certainly be returning! Ooh did we mention they also offer an observatory and the opportunity to observe the stars in a non polluted light environment! A treat !
