Great lunch

Woodgirl54, Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom
Stopped in for lunch en route to Holy Island. We all had sandwiches in the resturant. They were really good. Served in fresh ciabatta rolls with the best chips and salad garnish. The staff were really friendly and service was very quick. Will definately return here.

The Lindisfarne Inn replied: Thank you for leaving this lovely review, I am pleased to hear you enjoyed your Lunches with us and I hope you enjoyed your time on Holy Island! We all would love to see you again in the near future!

Greay for (St, Cuthbert's Way) walkers and cyclists

John H, Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom
Stayed here for one Saturday night while walking St, Cuthbert's Way. A very simple bus ride (check both timetables - the direct and coastal buses) to and from Fenwick. Accommodation is in very walker/cyclist friendly annexe.

The Lindisfarne Inn replied: Thank you for leaving this review and for the 5 stars! Yes - Where we are based (near Holy Island) makes it very inviting and easy for walkers and cyclists, we have made additions to our Inn due to the volume of them (cycle equiptment, walking boots etc.)! We even do a 'Walk-Inn' deal! We do hope we see you again soon!

We popped in here for Breakfast ,glad we did it was very good in fact we went back a second time ,it was a tad under twenty pounds for us both but we had a coffee pot you just served yourself and a hit water boiler for your teapot you could have coffee tea or orange juice you get asked beforehand if you want it ,there was bread too eithe brown or white and you toast this yourself you get asked if you want this ,you have various flavoured jams and even marmite ,the toilets were spotless with the smellies put in the urinals top marks from me

Not worth the money...

clarabella84,
My partner had the whole cod, no info on menu regarding bones/staff not able to advise on it. Arrived chock of bones which he said made it unpleasant to eat. My chicken arribiata tagliatelle was bland. Homemade chips were lovely however.

The Lindisfarne Inn replied: Thank you for your review, as stated on the specials board we do serve the Whole Cod therefore it does contain bones. Please do mention to a member of staff any issues so they can rectify these and you can leave feeling happy with your experience.

Lunchtime visit

Alison C,
The food is of a good standard however the choice is very limited. The pub itself is very welcoming and the staff seem friendly. This pub is situated on the A1 next to the opening for holy island , makes a great stop over when visiting the area.

The Lindisfarne Inn replied: Thank you for leaving this review and for your kind words, I am sorry to hear about your feelings towards our food - we normally receive positive comments! Please do come back and give us another try.
