Loved it!

In my opinion a bit of a gem in this area! Location is super being set on a beautiful park site situated around the lake. A welcoming set of staff awaits you. Our dog was allowed in to the pub with us (on tiled area). There was a nice atmosphere with background music and tvs at booths. This place was clean and the decor had a modern/country style to it. Food very reasonable Thumbs up to the chef by the way who cooked an amazing Chicken Chassuer and I was told the Cod and pizza was just as good! Thank you to staff!

Awful food - microwave meals with a view

sm4rt1e,
Today we visited this pub after visiting a lovely little cafe further up the river. We had held off having food until we found somewhere like the boat inn. Absolutely beautiful when you walk in, very modern and amazing views. We ordered jacket potatoes and sides of coleslaw and when I provided the table number was told we don't have a table of that number it must be number 'x'. His guess was wrong, so went back and told him which he said was fine. After waiting a short while our food sure enough got delivered to the wrong table with the waitress pointing that out as well (unnecessary). Any way... average service to one side the chilli con carne ordered was a heated up microwave meal and the side of coleslaw was the cheap white stuff (charged at 1.75) from any super market. REALLY disappointed! For such a beautiful place I would never return for food. The place must survive from people one off visiting because I won't be returning.

LizC01,
Had 2 meals here during our weeks stay at a lodge - I can highly recommend the Sunday lunch! Even my teenage son was full!

Decent lunch stop

Reasonably priced pub fare (sandwiches, pizzas, jacket potatoes) with a few specials thrown in Good service. Good choice of real ales. Would benefit from some decent decaf coffee
