Excellent Staff

salandmick, Stafford, United Kingdom
Stayed here for 4 nights whilst researching the area for a walking holiday. Good location, nice spacious room, no issues with road noise despite being on the main A1, although it might have been noisier had the weather been warmer and we had the window open?. Breakfast was excellent, with good choice and quality products, and evening meals were also well presented and tasty. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating were just a couple of very small niggles, namely that the TV in the room is very small for the room size, the hot water tap only worked properly intermittently (although maintenance did try and rectify this as soon as we mentioned it, albeit to no avail) and there were only 2 real ales on, one of which went off on day 2 and wasn't replaced whilst we were there. Very small niggles and didn't really detract from the enjoyment of our stay. However the big plus here is the staff, All, without exception, very helpful and friendly, up for a bit of banter and a laugh. Special mention to Janet, very efficient, and to Brian, an interesting and informative chap, and a great laugh as well. Thanks for the tip about the best beach in the world...we shall tell no-one! We through enjoyed our "dander aboot" in the area, and will return

Poor customer service

Lisa M, Nairn, Scotland, United Kingdom
We visited for dinner as a party of four adults, one toddler and a dog. Firstly our meals arrived in two separate phases despite the orders being placed together. We complained at the time and the food arrived. There was then some confusion over whether my son was entitled to a free dessert. We asked to speak to the manager at the end of the meal. He told us it was our fault that the meals arrived separately, the issue with the children's meal was our mistake and concluded by shrugging his shoulders. Needless to say we won't be back

Newest pub to Haggerston casyle

Cherrelleious, England
We wanted a typical Sunday lunch close by to Haggerston castle park. We spotted it on the way in and it always looks clear and busy. We didn't make a booking but arrived about 3:45pm and got a table for 4 no problems. Lovely ambience; would be a nice place to have a drink and stay over by the open fire in the cold months. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Sunday lunch was very tasty, huge puddings. We did wait quite a while but think that was due to ordering other items off the menu for the kids. Only issue- I don't like watery gravy. Would recommend and return

The Lindisfarne Inn replied: Thank you for leaving this review, so pleased you enjoyed your meals with us and yes - we do take great pride in our Inn's. It would be lovely to see you again to enjoy another experience with us here at The Lindisfarne Inn.

Decent place to stay

Si W, Redcar, United Kingdom
Being right on the A1 and on a number of walking and cycling routes, this place is a perfectly placed inn. Good sized rooms were spotless and comfy, bar was cosy and the meals we had were fine. There's lots of choice and decent beer on tap. Great for walkers and especially cyclists with a lock up for your bike and a cleaning area too. An enjoyable stay

The Lindisfarne Inn replied: Thank you for leaving this review, we are spoilt for choice where we are and we do hope to see you again soon!
