Walking holiday along Hadrian's wall

Gary T, Swindon, England, United Kingdom
This place is under new ownership and being refurbished so the plumbing was a bit iffy but the staff had a solution. The best thing though was the restaurant as the chef was outstanding. Really top class food.

Impressive

David R,
Stayed here for one night, the room with en-suite was very good, clean with a decent view over the surrounding countryside. The room and ensuite looks like it has recently been refurbished and they have done a superb job. I could have stayed in bed all day it was that comfy. The food (dinner and breakfast) bordered on the exceptional probably the best I have tasted in any hotel, it really was top class. All the staff I met during my short stay were very friendly. I have been to Northumberland a few times for holidays but have chosen to stay in rented property or occasionally B&B but will seriously consider returning here as it is centrally located.

Absolutely LOVE it !!

I really REALLY like this place! It's the first time I've ever written a review whilst I was still actually staying somewhere, but I like it so much I can't wait to sing its praises. Our room is homely, clean, comfy, airy and spacious. The atmosphere in the bar is friendly, welcoming and unpretentious. The staff are really nice and everso helpful. Our evening meal was absolutely glorious. There's only one small negative point and that is that we've only booked for one night. I am already looking forward to the day when we can return. Top marks from me!

Really enjoyed my stay

cervati, Lancashire, England
Stayed at the Hadrian Hotel for three nights in mid June 2017. The double room for single use was spotless. Excellent bed, linen etc. En-suite facilities were equally good, abundant hot water and very clean. The hotel has only six double rooms so it is really quiet and I got a good night's sleep. The breakfast is included in the price and you select items required the night before on a menu card. Full English is available plus cereals, fruit, juices yoghurts etc. Very tasty and abundant. I dined in the Inn's restaurant in the evening (paying separately for these) and the chef prepared meals were excellent and generous. The owners have clearly spent considerable amounts modernising and providing very good quality facilities for guests. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay there again. The hotel has plenty off road parking and is a short journey by car to the Roman forts and museums.
