stopped off for a snack on our way to Scotland.Ordered hot roast pork sandwiches. The pork was processed wafer thin served with sage and onion stuffing from a tin and salad (yes Salad) mixed with gravy.our order was taken 10 minutes before 3 other customers arrived and placed an order, their food was served before ours , when I questioned this I was told their sandwiches were prepared before ours because they had ordered cold sandwiches.I will let you draw your own conclusions on that one,. Will never visit again.

Redesdale Arms replied: Dear Ljs058, I'm not sure what conclusion one is supposed to make, your sandwiches were hot so they took a little longer to prepare, you didn't wait that long anyway, considering we were really busy when you were here. You really don’t know what you are talking about, both the pork and the stuffing are homecooked, the menu states that all sandwiches come with a salad garnish (yes Salad)! And, who knew you could get sage and onion stuffing in a tin? I note from some of your other spiteful reviews you really don’t like to be kept waiting, you should probably just stay at home! Stephanie F,
Lovely pub/hotel with good guest rooms, plenty of hot water shower and great food although we only sampled the starter and breakfast. However judging by the number of people in the restaurant for evening meal it is obviously a very popular choice! Hoteliers could not do enough for you and everything is thought of - even down to a stairlift which proved extremely useful. Stunning views of the countryside! Worthy of it's 4* status

Redesdale Arms replied: Dear Stephanie, Thank you for your lovely review, your feedback is much appreciated and we are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us. Kind regards Carrol & Mark

Another very pleasant stay at the Redesdale Arms

We have just returned from four nights at the Redesdale Arms.We have stayed at the Redesdale Arms twice before .The hotel is perfectly placed to visit Keilder Water, the fabulous Northumberland coast and on this occasion historic towns in the Scottish Borders. Although the location is great, we return to the Redesdale Arms because the rooms are clean, pleasant and spacious; the food is home cooked and excellent ( we ate in every night ) but most particularly because the owners and all the staff are helpful, pleasant and very friendly. We shall definitely return to the Redesdale Arms next time we visit Northumberland

Redesdale Arms replied: Dear JaneC912, Thank you for taking the time to write your kind review of the Redesdale Arms. It was great to see you again and we are delighted you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to seeing you next time you visit Northumberland. Regards From all of us at the Redesdale Arms

Attentive, comfortable and relaxing- just what a break should be!

Just returned from a very enjoyable two night stay at the Redesdale Arms. Ate in the restaurant for both nights and thoroughly enjoyed the home made cheese and onion quiche and scampi, both of which were served with a generous portion of chips and crisp salad. The dessert board was also good and we both enjoyed the creme brulee and Bailey's cheese cake options. The only small criticism was that there was no cheese board on the menu, but perhaps me and my partner needed to try something different! The staff were friendly and definitely attentive in a nice, but not 'in your face' manner. Nice to see staff with smiles and good manners eg; carrying suitcases to your room and fetching condiments etc to make you feel really looked after. The breakfasts were also good with staff happy to cater for customers who wanted to 'pick and choose' rather than keep to the set choices and that was appreciated. The shower was good and the room we stayed in had all you would really need including an arm chair each to sit and relax and a very nicely stocked tea tray with biscuit packs, various drink sachets and fresh milk available on request. I would very much like to return there.

Redesdale Arms replied: Dear Catherine R, Thank you for taking the time to review the Redesdale Arms, its great feedback and we're delighted you enjoyed your stay. We hope to welcome you back. Regards Carrol & mark
