Beautiful hotel

Helen C,
Just arrived for a night away, welcomed into the hotel by a lovely, friendly member of staff who showed us to our room. Room is beautiful with a balcony over looking the gardens. Staff are attentive and friendly. One of the best hotels we've stayed in recently!

Holiday meal out

GemH1981, Lancashire
We came in to the William de Percy twice on our holiday. First for a drink - we got shown round the amazing venue. It genuinely is jaw dropping my beautiful. The second time was for dinner. I had the sea bass and my husband had the fish and chips. The food is absolutely delightful. So tasty and cooked perfectly. As an outsider to the area we were made to feel exceptionally welcomed. All the staff were lovely. A real find!! If you're in the area, go. You won't be disappointed!

Very poor service

Gary S, Kingston-upon-Hull, United Kingdom
My wife and I stopped of her for lunch yesterday to break up our journey back home from Scotland. We were greeted by to very pleasant young ladies in the main reception and directed through to the restaurant, As I approached the bar of this one third full restaurant I stopped by a table for 2 and asked the young lady behind the bar if it was ok to sit there, without a smile or a hello all I got was no you will have to wait to be seated, after 5 minuets one of the ladies from the reception came through and saw us still standing there, she asked that we be shown to the very table I had enquired about, after waiting a while a young man came and took us to a far corner of the restaurant, Not asking if the table was ok for us or would we like a drink while choosing our food we were just told your food menu and drinks menu are there nodding towards them. He then walked off to take a food order from another table only to be told they had already ordered a while ago, The people on the next table to us informed us they have eaten there a few times and whilst the food is good the service is slow and poor never enough staff they said, he pointed out he was still awaiting a glass of water he had order 15 minuets earlier. The young man came close to our table on several occasions without asking if we were ready to order, The young girl wearing a waistcoat who had been so abrupt about the table also came past and on one occasion looked at me and banged her head with her hand as if to say we had been forgotten, I thought at last we were going to get served....WRONG, No one came so after another 15 minuets we left. The young lady in the reception saw us come out and I informed her of our experience and she politely apologised. The restaurant staff need training in manners customer care and hospitality, Won't be going back there.

Evening meal with friends

Graham J, Kirkcaldy, United Kingdom
First time we had visited Willian de Percy. Food was of excellent quality and if you have to wait longer than a fast food outlet then fair enough. Beer was good as well (Northern Lights). We did not experience any great noise. Staff very efficient and our friends from Germany were also impressed.

William De Percy replied: Hi Graham, Firstly, thank you for dropping us a comment to let us know that you enjoyed your meal with us. We love hearing positive feedback from our customers! Your comments will be passed on to the venue manager and we do hope to see you again in the future. Kind Regards, Rachel
