Amateurish establishment

leana d,
Where to begin... no signage directing from the main road, loose headboards, no water pressure, squeaky hotel sign fluttering in the wind all night outside room 1, hair remnants from previous guest(?) in the bathroom. Could be so much better with a bit of care, and maybe completion before opening to guests? Chap manning desk of the evening was friendly and helpful suggesting an outstanding dinner (at William De Percy).

Great wedding overflow venue

Otterburn has at least three popular wedding venues and with its location being some 30 miles or so from Newcastle and other well populated areas it is generally acceptable that staying over for a wedding is preferable to a taxi. The Coach House served the purpose on this occasion and the new owners, who have only recently taken over, gave us a warm welcome on arrival and were very friendly throughout our stay. The place is about 3/4 of a mile from Otterburn village and is down a tree lined lane in peaceful surroundings. There are some lodges being built behind the hotel and the future renovation of the hall in front may cause some disturbances in the future. We enjoyed our stay in a clean, presentable, friendly environment and breakfast was quite canny to say the least.

Very comfortable stay

The hotel had just changed hands and the new owners are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel has undergone major refurbishment by previous owners and is well appointed with a few quirks which I'm sure the new owners will iron out. The room was very comfortable and ideal for us as we had our dog with us. The courtyard just outside our room was very attractive and had the weather been warmer would have been a lovely spot for a relaxing evening drink. Breakfast was plentiful and well presented. Loved the toasted crusty bread. The surroundings are lovely and Otterburn is a walkers delight. Will definitely recommend and will visit again.

Lovely stay

Stephanie W,
Me and my husband stayed as we attended a wedding locally. Everything was great. Pretty decorations, friendly staff. Very clean and the bed was very comfy. Thanks. Breakfast was nice. Woud stay again if ever in the area.
