A brilliant place to stay

larmafarmer, Dorking, United Kingdom
We stayed here for several nights and used this as a base to explore Newcastle. The room was wonderful overlooking the Dene, with a spacious bathroom, comfy bathrobes and lovely toiletries. It was quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious as was the evening meal we had and we cannot fault the staff who bent over backwards to make our stay so enjoyable, giving us recommendations for trips out, the use of the Metro and where to eat in the city centre. Oh...and they had a bowl of home grown apples at reception to help ourselves to - a nice touch!

Wedding stay

Guy P, Newcastle, United Kingdom
Visited here for a wedding which was being held at the hotel. We stayed overnight upgrading to a better room for 40 pounds extra. The room was a bit dusty and my wife found hairs in the bath, which isn't up to standard for a 4 star hotel. Also, the hotel was so warm my wife got a migraine and couldn't face having the breakfast. Seemed like a lot of people were complaining about the heat, which isn't normally an issue mid October! The staff were all very helpful though, but overall it was an average stay.

Brilliant Staff

Shal22, Hertfordshire
Lovely hotel and a nice walk into town down unused country lane. We had a problem with our room but it was handled immediately and we were moved without any fuss. Breakfast very nice but think that as you are staying in hotel it should have been offered at a discount. But good none the less.

Wedding party lunch

JaneNewland, Dartmouth, United Kingdom
We attended a private function in the great hall and enjoyed a delicious three course, lunch with excellent service and facilities. We travelled from Newcastle Airport by the Metro and Jesmond Dene House was a short walk distant, set in an attractive area of the city.

Anniversary treat

Shazzam1956, Sunderland, United Kingdom
Finished off a lovely visit to Northumberland by visiting for afternoon tea on the way home, must be best afternoon tea we've had and lovely outlook from conservatory on a rainy day, like looking onto a lush rainforest. Hopefully we will come again to jesmond dene hotel
