Lovely friendly site.

Bluelupis, Beadnell, United Kingdom
Springhill is a lovely friendly site. It is very peaceful and has amazing views , Cheviot hills to the west, Bamburgh castle to the north and Farne islands to the east. It's very well run and maintained. Shower block/toilets are kept very clean and there is always hot water. The pitches are very spacious and welll laid out . The staff are very friendly and efficient, nothing is to much trouble. Thoroughly recommend this site.

Caravan holiday

Guyza62,
We have just returned home from a fabulous week at Spinghill Farm in our touring caravan. The site is great, the staff friendly, the views fantastic and the location ideal. We really didn't want to leave and hope to return. Unfortunately at 225 miles we can't do weekends, otherwise they would never be rid of us.

Good location

juless01, Wigan, United Kingdom
We booked 2 nights in the wigwams but only stayed for 1 due to not being able to sleep very well, dogs barking in the middle of the night and early morning, we were close to the path to the shower/toilet/kitchen block and people walking past on the gravel was noisy as well. The actual camp though was nice, the accomodation was clean and the facilities were good.

The Lookout

LPMerryn, Sheffield, United Kingdom
This is the second year we have stayed here in The Lookout. The accommodation is clean and comfortable. It is reasonably priced. It is ideal for a group of friends - the kitchen is well equipped with pans, crockery, ovens and fridges, and the communal living and dining area is perfect. The main issue I have is that the children's play area ( a large field behind the motor home pitches) shuts at 9pm but the noise curfew is 11pm. We have 13 teenagers in our group, when the field is 'shut' they have no where else to congregate other than on the balcony and stairs of the Lookout. In the summer months it may be prudent to leave the play area open later so that the disruption is kept away from campers. Our gang would happily have kept playing football on the field and they wouldn't have been a nuisance to anyone. I am not sure why there is a difference in the times of play area closure and noise curfew?

Motorhome stay on a lovely site in an under represented area

jess69, Doncaster
Booked this after a friend suggested it. We love this area but as motor homers you are limited to where you can stay if you don't want to use a car or move the MH. This site is less than a mile to the beach and an easy walk to Seahouses if you crave fish n chips or need supplies. The site is a mix of wigwams, bunkhouses, caravans, motorhomes and tents. The facilities were clean and had everything you needed. Never had to queue and it was the BH weekend. Not the most up to date facilities but did the job. Staff were friendly at check in and that's all we need. The grey waste for motorhomes is tricky we felt with larger motorhomes but we managed. We had a pitch that had a view of Bamburg Castle in the distance and we could see the sea. The ca,ping field was next to us and it would have been nice if they had stuck to their path instead of cutting through our's but it wasn't a massive issue. The Co-op in Seahouses is great, plenty of shops etc there is you don't like endless beach walking but we do so only went in once and that was enough.
