Rustic Chic

cashmerequeen2009, Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Absolutely perfect family stay here! The Coach House is set in the beautiful countryside of North Northumberland, within a short drive of interesting places to visit, including Bamburgh and Holy Island. The Coach House itself is an historical building with plenty of character and a rustic chic about it. The bedroom, with ensuite bathroom, was extremely comfortable, warm and spotlessly clean, with everything I needed, including a socket by the bedside table for charging my phone! The Lounge,Dining and Breakfast areas were very inviting with charming décor. All of the home-cooked meals were absolutely delicious and freshly made with local produce, including free range eggs from the chickens kept in a nearby field. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much bother. All in all,the perfect stay. Highly Recommended.

Fresh and free range food!

Just returned home from a fantastic extended weekend break at the Coachhouse. The welcome was so warm and friendly, the food was excellent! Breakfast highlights included fresh free range eggs from their own chickens and award winning sausages from a local butcher. The courtyard room we stayed in was very spacious and comfortable with an en suite bathroom that even if not modern was certainly adequate and clean. Definitely would go back and looking forward to maybe returning later this year!

Lovely character hotel with comfortable accommodation, wonderful views and generous meals. The owners and staff couldn't do enough for the guests and we were treated like family. Will definitely be returning.

Disgraceful!!

Adam W,
After booking this b&b on booking.com we were both looking forward to our stay. The photos of the rooms looked very inviting indeed. However when we turned up, just from the outside the b&b looked in need of some tlc. After entering inside the smell of stale cooking fat greeted us. We where shown to our room. Room 1 which resembled a hostel. The en suite bathroom was something out of the 80's. It was most certainly not worth £100 a night. £30 maybe. So my partner and I said we weren't happy as the photos on the internet didn't depict the rooms like the current state. We were told to take the issue up with booking.com and the owner said she had my card details and would take the momney anyway. Our holiday lasted a day and we ended up driving back home. DO NOT STAY HERE. Worst b&b I have ever stepped inside!

Lovely first visit to Northumberland

Gilly2014x, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
My wife and I have just enjoyed our first visit to Northumberland and it was fantastic with fabulous views of the countryside and lovely coast line. We spent two nights at the Coach House with lovely hospitality from our host Jackie. The tea and scones on the patio was one of the highlights along with some local produce for breakfast with the choice of Smoked haddock and Craster Kippers. The location is perfect and the property is beautiful. The bed was too springy and the shower was just OK but otherwise a really nice stay.
