Lovely place for a relaxing break

ElaineRy, Northumberland, England
Just stayed one night, halfway between Newcastle and Edinburgh. This is an interesting old house with converted outbuildings. Great welcome. There is a lovely guest lounge, where we enjoyed afternoon tea in front of a log fire. We had booked dinner and lived not having to go out. Three course dinner (and coffee) using local ingredients, all beautifully cooked and presented. Room was well set up, even having a fridge so fresh milk for teas. And when we came to breakfast there was a good choice. Shame there was no information about the house or immediate locality (or breakfast menu so we could choose in advance) in the room. Good free wi-fi so do ask for the password (,again not in the room - had to ask).

Lovely stay

Elizabeth E,
Warm welcome on arrival. Room was clean, specious and nicely decorated. Bed was large and comfy. Breakfast was outstanding, the poached eggs were perfect. Would recommend the pub up the road, the service and food was stop on. Great place for a peaceful retreat.

Perfect Place for a Honeymoon Retreat

Neil P, Lanark, United Kingdom
I simply can't review this highly enough. Absolutely fantastic! Due to unforeseen circumstances, we couldn't go on our honeymoon proper right after our wedding. Instead we decided to tour around for week before heading home. The first place we stayed was okay but nothing special. The Coach House however proved to be the perfect setting to relax after the wedding mayhem. The owner and her daughter could not have been more delightful and welcoming. They really went above and beyond to make our stay so wonderful. We will definitely be back and are about to book our parents in for a surprise Christmas present treat. I'll simply finish by saying that I seriously doubt anyone would be disappointed staying at the this terrific place!

Wonderful Stay!!!!

jlester159, Basildon, United Kingdom
We have just returned home after staying for a week at this marvelous bed and breakfast. It is family run and you get a wonderful welcome in to a spotless and comfortable venue. Our room was well equipped and well laid out with everything we could want. There was a huge lounge area complete with real fire in which we were served afternoon tea if we were about. The food was delicious. There was a great choice for breakfast including the Bamburgh Banger (all very tasty and well cooked) and with a little notice you could also have dinner, which on the two occasions we ate was superb. The food was locally sourced and the names of the suppliers was on the menu. The staff were very helpful, polite, approachable and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. We loved the location, the accommodation, the atmosphere and the well prepared, appetizing food. We will definitely be returning and would recommend it.

Great food and stay

Georgina H,
This is a lovely spot. We stayed in a beautifully appointed room with tea presented to us on arrival. We had a delicious and great value 3 course meal plus a scrummy breakfast the next morning. The staff were very kind and helpful and suggested great routes to travel by as well as things to see. Will happily stay again
