Great place to stay

Kevin A, Leicester, United Kingdom
The owners and staff were very friendly, we had three rooms and they were all very comfortable (had a couple of very good nights sleep). A real taste of the countryside with lambs and chickens in the grounds. We will certainly stay again.

A fantastic stay

taylordaverz, Kirkby Stephen, United Kingdom
My partner and I stayed here for two nights and we have nothing but praise for the experience. Fantastic front of house (especially Jackie) provided us with tea and scones (just been baked!) on arrival. The room was just right with a comfy bed, plenty of room, lovely view and a private bathroom situated across the hall with everything you need. Breakfast was a treat that we couldn't fault, as good as if not the best we've had on our travels. Their location is beautiful and the guest lounge looks out across the lambs in the back garden and the fields across the way; very idyllic. The honesty bar with a fully stocked fridge and an open fire really made you feel at home. We would definitely recommend others to come and visit as we will certainly be back ourselves!

Absolutely brilliant

Suzy B, Exeter, United Kingdom
This is one of the best B&Bs I've stayed in! We only stayed for one night, but are already trying to work out when we might be able to visit again! We received a very warm welcome, & had afternoon tea out on the back terrace watching the lambs playing in the sunshine. The room was very clean and comfortable. There's also a lovely shared lounge with an honesty bar, which is a great touch. We had a wonderful stay & a great nights sleep. We'll definitely be returning, and soon I hope! :)

Very comfortable B&B run by lovely people

Pete B, Saltburn-by-the-Sea, United Kingdom
Booked for a weekend in March as a base to do some walking and beachcombing and were delighted with just about everything during our stay. Our room (no. 5) is in the courtyard and we found it large and clean and warm with a fine view across the fields from the two wonderful window seats. The breakfast was superb with all requests catered for quickly and efficiently using local ingredients and suppliers. All this served by lovely people with a genuine interest in making their guests happy. We would highly recommend The Coach House and look forward to returning later in the year.

B&B of Character with lovely ambience, but some issues.

Byron M, Leek, England, United Kingdom
We booked the Coach House for 2 nights in February 2017. Our Room, an attic conversion, was lovely and full of character. The owners were courteous, very helpful and offered us a complimentary tea on arrival. However we cannot give this B&B a 5* rating owing to three rather important issues. Firstly the heating was turned off at 8pm each night, meaning the room became very cold very quickly - and i woke up in the night shivering twice. Secondly the external bathroom was very small and the shower rather sporadic in its heated water supply. Thirdly (and most importantly!) the breakfast portions were very small. I had made the owners aware 6 weeks previously i was a vegetarian (and not a pescatarian), but no provision had been made and my meager portion of mushrooms and tomatoes barely filled 1/3 of a plate. However i would like to add that these points did not take away from of the overall quality of the room and standard of the service, both of which were excellent.
