Lovely B&B

Johnnyg691, Preston, United Kingdom
Stayed over for the Kielder mountain bike race. The Farmhouse B&B is close to Kielder village (15mins drive). The room was very clean, the beds were comfy and Joyce got up especially early for our breakfast. Thanks!!

Wonderful weekend

Debbie B, West Sussex, United Kingdom
Tucked away in the beautiful Northumberland countryside, Joyce and Charles run a working farm and grow the most glorious vegetables in their garden. We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed wonderfully comfortable beds, with absolute silence except for the sparrows and swallows outside the window. Full English breakfast in the dining room with 5 foot thick walls is gives you a true feeling of the age of the property. Thank you Joyce and Charles for a lovely weekend. Lovely x

Dark Skies

Alasdair S,
Very nice farmhouse Band B in the heart of the National Park. Old farmhouse, comfortably appointed and very clean, with lots of interesting old furniture, pictures etc. Welcoming couple, quite relaxed and accommodating. Breakfast was good. I went to see Kielder and the Observatory, and this was a good base for both, being about 30 minutes drive from Kielder village. Take a good map.

A great place to get away from it all

GreenBunions, England
Great little B&B around 4/5 miles from Bellingham and about a twenty minute drive from Kielder Water. Joyce and Charles were great hosts - the room was clean and the bed very comfortable (and the breakfasts were very tasty too!). We visited Snabdough in May and weren't the only residents - there were dozens of swallows nesting around the old farmhouse, and the curlews seem to like the surrounding countryside as well, so if you like birds, take your "bins" with you! This part of Northumbria is a great place to get away from it all - lots of big open country and usually very quiet roads. Kielder Water is fantastic - We cycled around Kielder using the bike hire (who were very helpful by the way) in Kielder village, but as my partner and me aren't serious cyclists we were a little saddle sore the next day (the cycle track is around 23 plus miles!). As for pubs, we visited The Pheasant and The Holly Bush, and would recommend both - Good food and ale, with a nice friendly welcome as well.

Relaxing Hideaway

Sherbert_10, Hull
Stayed @ this wonderful farm house just over a month ago. This must be one of the most comfortable B&Bs we have stayed in and enjoyed our 3 nights in a room with beautiful views. As the farmhouse is so remote it was so nice to leave the curtains open and wake up to a stunning view with the sun shining. The breakfast was excellent and our hosts Joyce and Charles couldn't have been more welcoming we could have listened to their local knowledge and stories all weekend. I would highly recommend a stay in this wonderful place and cannot beleive that there is only 1 review of such an outstanding bed & breakfast. This is definitely on our list for a return visit.
