By far the best yet.

Josh J,
My wife and i stayed one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we ate in the bistro and took in the sights and sounds of Northumberland. Warkworth is a great base to stay and is pretty central for most of the coast. The room was comfy, warm and inviting and we were made welcome from the word go. The food in the bistro was incredible and the wine really complimented the tastes, the food price was a lot less than expected for the quailty and quantity of the food on the plate. Breakfast held up to the expectations of the evening meal. The only problem with our stay was we ate too much that we didnt visit the recommended pub in the village, we will definitely return. Thank you very much for making our weekend break so special.

Post Office House Bed & Breakfast replied: Thank you for your lovely review. We love hearing that your stay was special; people's free time these days is so limited that you want to spend it doing memorable things and it's brilliant when we hear it was! Best wishes, Helen and Rich

Everything we were looking for!

pstoep, Atlanta
My husband and I, along with our young adult daughter, spent three nights here in early November. We had two adjacent rooms, each en suite. The decorations throughout are really cute, in a cheery beach theme. The decor is actually a little better in person than the pictures show. The B&B is easy to find and parking was no problem, although it obviously wasn't high season. The first night we walked down the street to The Hermitage for dinner - that was one thing we wanted - to be in a village location from which we could walk to a pub or two. The breakfasts here are really special, probably the best we've had in a B&B. There is an extensive menu to choose from, making your selections the night before. I tried three different breakfasts and each was delicious! You can also customize your selection. The croissants in particular are fabulous! There were two minor issues that I don't want to detract from how wonderful this place is, but I do feel they should be mentioned. On Fridays and Saturdays there is a Bistro that gets great reviews. We had just flown in from the States Friday morning, and so were needing to catch up on sleep. The noise from The Bistro lasted until about 11:00, maybe later; it was very loud and made it very difficult to sleep. Saturday night was the same, but we didn't go to bed as early so was not as much an issue. I don't think there is anything they can do about it, but if you are early to bed on Friday or Saturday, it might be a problem. The other thing is probably only an issue because as Americans we are used to our space, but our room was very small. With two adults and two decent-sized suitcases, there was barely any room to maneuver. Our daughter's room seemed roomier, but her bed was smaller. I am giving five stars because it is a very nicely done B&B, we really did enjoy ourselves and the breakfasts were splendid.

Post Office House Bed & Breakfast replied: Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay with us and I hope that you enjoyed the rest of your time in Edinburgh with your daughter. It was lovely to meet you all and we're pleased that you enjoyed the breakfasts. We do run our bistro on Friday and Saturday evenings and yes there is a little more noise on these nights (as indicated on our website), particularly in the rooms directly above, but service is complete and people have normally left by 10.30/11.00 at the latest. We do however only do 20 covers and people normally book a meal with us whilst staying and so it doesn't present as much of a problem, but we totally appreciate it's not always ideal if you go to bed early. Have a nice Christmas, Helen and Rich

One night stay

shed257, Nottingham, United Kingdom
We stayed for one night to go to the beach , would definitely recommend this B and B , agree with all the other reviews, very cosy and welcoming, breakfast was probably the best we have ever had in a hotel or B and B - no exaggeration. Polly, our dog, sampled the local sausage at breakfast as well, paws up all round.

Post Office House Bed & Breakfast replied: Many thanks for your fab review and so pleased you all (including Polly) enjoyed your brekkie. Have a lovely Christmas, Helen and Rich
