Overview

Quality Bed & Breakfast accommodation on a beautiful coastal spot overlooking Holy Island in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and of Special Scientific Interest.

The premises are old stone buildings which formed part of the original farm steading. Converting the smiddy, cow byre and cartshed has created 7 spacious en-suite rooms that are independent of the farmhouse and have individual front doors so your space is your own. You will enjoy modern comfort all round and be kept warm and cosy by underfloor heating.

New lounge with beautiful view of Holy Island.

Our location is idyllic with an ever changing landscape as the sea comes and goes with the tide. The farm is an ideal base for walking, cycling, and exploring the local area – particularly Lindisfarne and Bamburgh with their magnificent beaches, castles and rich history, and The Farne Islands – a haven for wildlife.

Breakfasts are served in the Granary with plenty of fresh options and cooked breakfasts made to order using local produce. Enjoy homemade jams, local honey and Northumbrian bacon and sausages with delicious free range eggs.

Inspiring location, great hospitality

We'd read the great reviews and looked at the pictures on the website, but when you are standing in the farm under the enormous Northumberland blue sky, sea grasses down to the water's edge and the view across the water to Holy Island...... it takes your breath away. Could it be any better, easy answer, No. This B&B is 1st class, lovely spotless rooms, home made cake, outstanding breakfast....(the cooked breakfast is excellent but the cold table must have had a selection of almost 10 fresh fruits, plums were gorgeous). I could go on but you get the story, we loved it.

Would definitely go back

I stayed here for a night while doing the Northumberland Coastal path walk. The hotel had been booked by the tour company so I wasn't sure what to expect. But this was wonderful. Comfortable, peaceful and welcoming. I wished I had another night to spend there. The hosts have worked out a few very local walks (to and from the farm) for those who are staying longer, so there are things to do - although just experiencing the peace and quiet is great.

Didn't want to leave

hazel d,
We stayed here for one night, before doing the last leg of St. Cuthbert's Walk to Holy Island the next day. I don't think I've ever stayed somewhere so perfect. The rooms are a farm conversion but you are still on a working farm. The farm is on the coast, overlooking Holy Island and it is a lovely peaceful and special location. You can hear the seals singing on the nearby sandbank in the evening. The hosts are lovely, when you arrive there are home made cakes in your room. The rooms are decorated beautifully, robes are provided and the shower room is state of the art. There is an option to order dinner (which comes in from a local farmer) and it was excellent. One of the farm buildings has been beautifully converted to a communal space where you have breakfast, but this is where you can eat dinner and there is a little honesty bar if you fancy some craft beer or a g & t. Upstairs in this building there is a vast communal lounge with picture windows that look out to sea, binoculars provided. Bird enthusiasts will be occupied here. The breakfast was excellent, a farmers breakfast, the best breakfast I have ever had in a B&B. The full english was great but there was also honey produced by bees on the farm and Doddington's yoghurt (never had that till now and loved it) to put on your home made granola. Great coffee too and like dinner, it was served by the farmer, while his wife cooked. Brilliant. I was loathe to leave actually, would love to go back.

Fabulous B&B

Visited Fenham Farm for 2 nights. It is spotlessly clean, the rooms are gorgeous, very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic, the best we have ever had at any hotel. So much choice. Great location. Would give it 5 stars. Highly recommended.

Stayed for 4 nights. A great B&B in a wonderful location.

The room and facilities were first class. Walter & Gill went out of their way to make us feel at home, and the cooked breakfast was superb! Great attention to detail; the bed was really comfortable, and there was fresh milk daily for the mandatory morning tea; homemade cakes were a lovely bonus,
