Lovely farmohouse and gracious hosts

Amita D, Nottingham, United Kingdom
We had a very nice if brief stay. Anne was a gracious and friendly host who gave lots of helpful information. Accommodation was faultless. It was a restful break on the way to Scotland in lovely Northumbria.

Wonderful B & B in lovely setting

Pat092, West Midlands
Wonderful B & B, in lovely setting. Very good hosts and a great breakfast. We stayed in twin bedded room, very comfortable and plenty of space. Great local pubs for good food. Definitely recommend.a visit.

Broomshaw Hill Farm replied: Thank you Pat. It was great to have you and Richard to stay for your first visit to Northumberland and we are delighted you enjoyed the room, breakfasts and local area so much. You made such good use of your days with us and it's always nice to hear stories of lovely experiences in this rich and varied area. Hope to see you again sometime. Best wishes, Anne and Martin

Lovely B&B with yummy breakfast

Natasha H, London, United Kingdom
Lovely B&B in a pretty setting, although a short walk out of the main centre. Friendly owners and yummy breakfast with plenty to choose from. Would recommend it for Hadrians Wall cyclists (although there is a short steep bit of hill to get the to B&B - great fun to go back down again in the morning!).

Broomshaw Hill Farm replied: Thank you for your lovely review Natasha and its thoughtful comments which will help other cyclists decide whether to book with us. We are about a mile from the centre of Haltwhistle and the bank does require one final push, but the setting is secure, peaceful and idyllic. Glad you enjoyed the breakfast and cakes at tea. We enjoyed meeting you all and hope to see you again in the future. Best wishes, Anne and Martin

To the rescue.

Anne and Martin quite literally came to our rescue when we suddenly found ourselves temporally BnB-less, while traversing the Wall. Unfortunately, the BnB we had booked to stay in called us late on the Saturday evening to inform us they had overbooked...Most fortunately, we had bumped into Anne and Martin as we set off, who kindly set us on the right path towards the Roman Army Museum and even more fortunately, gave us a card, in case we were ever in the area again. Thank the Gods they had, as otherwise we would have found ourselves in quite the pickle. We were also thankful when Martin, torches in hand, came to find us, just in time before we were lost in the darkness. Lovely couple, lovely house, lovely breakfast. Thanks again, from Louis and Florence - the idiots who set off with little to no idea what we were doing.

Broomshaw Hill Farm replied: Thanks Louis. It was indeed fortunate that we bumped into you and Florence as you were setting off on your walk and that your spontaneous weekend away ended well. Your lovely comments about your stay at Broomshaw are much appreciated and we hope to see you again in the future if you do get back to explore some more of Hadrian's Wall. Best wishes, Anne and Martin

Lovely B & B in a beautiful setting,friendly hosts. Couldn't fault it

Gilly C, Melbourne, Australia
We stayed for three nights at this beautiful farm B & B, situated just outside Haltwhistle but surrounded by lovely scenery. Anne and Martin welcomed us warmly with a cup of tea and delicious shortbread and flapjacks. We had the twin bedded room, which is delightful, spacious, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Dual aspect windows, giving views of the surrounding countryside. It was lovely to sit in the two comfortable armchairs, admiring the view, while enjoying an afternoon cup of tea and delicious home-made cakes, provided by Anne each afternoon. The breakfasts were delicious, with plenty of choice. Anne and Martin are very friendly and wonderful hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. From washing our muddy clothes for us on the day we arrived and returning them to us next morning (at no charge) to recommending places to visit and local walks. We loved the walk along the stream near the B & B. Nice little extras, like delicious home-made cakes provided every afternoon and a flask of fresh milk provided each evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Broomshaw Hill Farm.

Broomshaw Hill Farm replied: Thank you Gilly for taking the time to write such a detailed, complimentary and informative review. Your comments about the comfort of your room during winter are especially reassuring and we're delighted you enjoyed the breakfasts and goodies we provide. We really enjoyed your and Paul's company and although you didn't get any snow, we were pleased you were able to enjoy the walking and scenery in February in this lovely area. We hope you both enjoyed Pickering and that the rest of your stay in London with Paul didn't pass too very quickly. Thank you again for finding us. Best wishes, Anne and Martin
