Excellent traditional farmhouse B&B

Leonie L, Cornwall
We stayed in 2 different rooms on 2 separate occasions, both were large and extremely comfortable. The B&B is spotlessly clean and very welcoming. We were cycling the Coast and Castles route and were offered a safe place for our bikes overnight. The breakfasts were traditional full cooked breakfasts, beautifully cooked to order. There's a great place to eat within walking distance which has splendid views across to Holy Island. This is a lovely, quiet, warm and friendly farmhouse B&B and we'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Dissapointed

Janet R, Chorley, United Kingdom
Booked 2 nites with our 2 berth caravan to visit holy island etc but were shocked and disappointed to find the 5 hookup caravan bays were in a small farm yard with no views and very old toilets in a shed, all the other vans were on top of each other with no privercy at all ,very closterfobic, sorry to say we left to find another wonderful site further up. Lady was very nice but not the site we expected for us .

Brock Mill Farmhouse replied: We would like to thank Janet for her comments, which unfortunately do not paint a true picture of the site. The site is inspected by by the Caravan Club, and the position and spacing of the sites were agreed by them. While we agree that there is not a view, we find that most people like to get out of their caravan and see the beautifull views in the near area. There is a hedge which protects the site from possible East winds. Above all the site is kept clean, the grass is cut and collected and the toilets (which are not in a shed !!) are also clean. Whilst we appreciate the site might not have been to her liking we do have many people who return again and again for stays of much longer than 2 nights.

Peace and quiet in the countryside

stnors,
We stayed at the Brick Mill Farmhouse during our Coast and Castles long distance cycle ride and had a relaxing and comfortable stay. Our room was pleasantly and traditionally furnished with a separate bathroom alongside. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty and set us up well for continuing our ride the next day. Local pubs and restaurants are around 1 to 2 miles away so a car or a 20 minute walk are required, but the peace of the farm's surroundings makes up for this. All in all a very pleasant place to stay and we would recommend it.

Homely and comfortable

CP5388, Hampshire, England
This farmhouse B&B is in a lovely quiet location, up a long driveway off the road to Lindisfarne. We booked a double room with private bathroom but had not quite realised that this did not mean ensuite. However, we had a large bathroom just for us right next to the bedroom. The breakfast was very good and cooked to order. We liked sitting at the shared table. The owner, Anne, was very helpful about the local area and in addition to visiting Lindisfarne we also walked we around the huge city walls at nearby Berwick. There are a couple of places for dinner nearby, we recommend the Barn at Beal, although I don't think this is open every day.
