Welcoming B&B

NewcastleGeordie83, Newcastle
B&B on a working farm with a warm welcome. The rooms are best described as traditional but they are clean, comfy and warm. We stayed as part of a trip to Kielder observatory which is just over 30 minutes drive away. Our stay was rounded off with a lovely English breakfast in the morning.

Walking the Pennine Way

An excellent farmhouse B&B, with a very warm welcome on a soggy, boggy day. The rooms were clean, warm and very comfy with plenty of space for weary walkers and the offer of drying waterproof gear and space for boots. Excellent shower facilities and for those of you who still love a bath and the end of a days walk, one of the rooms our walking group stayed in provided this :). Lovely breakfast room with a sheltered walled garden with plenty of birds to watch while enjoying a very tasty breakfast. Our group really enjoyed our nights stay, thank you so much.

Wonderful place to stay

I stayed here overnight while on the Pennine Way, and it was wonderful. I received a very warm welcome, despite the fact that I arrived far later than I'd intended (note to walkers: despite the OS map, there is no footbridge over the river if you are coming south - you need to use the main bridge in Bellingham). The farmhouse is set in beautiful countryside, and is absolutely tranquil. You are 100% away from it all. I was even offered proper milk for the tea in my room (very welcome after a long walk). Breakfast the next day was everything you could want, and I was given a lift into town to the start of my next walk. The local area is very scenic and under-visited by tourists. Definitely a top destination on the Pennine Way.
