Wonderful place to stay

I stayed here overnight while on the Pennine Way, and it was wonderful. I received a very warm welcome, despite the fact that I arrived far later than I'd intended (note to walkers: despite the OS map, there is no footbridge over the river if you are coming south - you need to use the main bridge in Bellingham). The farmhouse is set in beautiful countryside, and is absolutely tranquil. You are 100% away from it all. I was even offered proper milk for the tea in my room (very welcome after a long walk). Breakfast the next day was everything you could want, and I was given a lift into town to the start of my next walk. The local area is very scenic and under-visited by tourists. Definitely a top destination on the Pennine Way.

Fantastic stay

We had a great overnight stay in this beautiful traditional farmhouse. Our hosts were warm and friendly, going the extra mile to make us comfortable after a long day mountain biking on the Sandstone Way. We loved soaking in a hot bath and in the morning stoked up on a hearty breakfast the next morning, with the yellowist scrambled eggs from the free ranging hens.

Very friendly and comfortable place to stay

Lovely b&b on a working farm. The couple were really friendly, the rooms were spacious. As Northumberland can be chilly, electric blankets were on the beds if necessary with an extra heater. Full English breakfast cooked freshly for you each morning whilst watching the birds on the feeders outside the window. The farm is half a mile down a track so is quiet and the skies are really dark for looking at the stars. Good location for exploring kielder forest.

An amazing experience I will never forget.

Tanya A,
My fiancé has already written a review about this wonderful place, but I am so overwhelmed with how wonderful it was I want to do one myself. When we arrived we were greeted by such a lovely lady named Isabelle. She showed us to our very cosy room and was happy to stay and chat. The bed was really comfortable and the furnishings were that of antique nature. Absolutely perfect for a cosy farm house. There were electric blankets provided on the bed, a portable heater incase it got chilly, lamps, bedside cabinets, dressing table with a hair dryer and stool, wardrobe, TV, drawers, a chair and I could go on. These type of things you don't always get in B&B's and they were very welcomed! The place was immaculate! The en suite was so clean and soap, shampoo and shower gel was provided. There were also different selections of hot drinks in the room alongside the kettle. This included hot chocolate to my absolute delight! Breakfast the following morning was absolutely delicious and the room that it is served is very pretty to look at. The gardens are stunning and it is a pleasure to see the animals. Such a beautiful experience and so worth the money. Highly recommended.

Full of character, warmth and hospitality

There are a lot of good things to say about the Bridgeford Farm B&B. The location is idyllic and so peaceful. We loved the sound of our farm animal neighbours each day; I enjoyed a really nice evening walk into the woods alongside the farm's field and the river is very accessible to guests. Being rather remote, visitors should plan ahead and know where they'll be eating for lunch and dinner each day. On that note, breakfast is locally sourced and superb. Isabelle made special effort for other guests staying at the same time who were up and out early for work (5am!!) The room we stayed in couldn't be cosier. We had a sweet view of the garden. All necessary amenities were thoughtfully provided, even a portable heater for those colder nights (although central heating was on anyway). I cannot say enough about our host. Isabelle was a dear; very relaxed, very accommodating, eager to share local knowledge and was genuinely interested in us as people. She was ever so kind to my fiancée and we cannot thank her enough for her approach to being the best kind of B&B host you could hope for. I would happily choose to stay here again and would recommend to any couples, solo travelers and small groups.
